Facilities
Our steel division production facilities and offices are located in the Industrial Area of Agios Athanasios, 18 kilometers to the south of Thessaloniki, in northern Greece. The land covers approximately 70.000 square meters, with the buildings accounting for an area of 20.000 square meters. Our new solar division is located in the Industrial Area of Kilkis, also in northern Greece, with an impressive, bioclimatic 6.000 square meters facility, already operational since September 2009.
A Brief History
Exel Group was founded in 1978 under the name EXEL General Partnership, for the purpose of manufacturing equipment used in steel irrigation pipe production. Gradually, through a series of acquisitions and mergers, it obtained the know-how and infrastructure required to successfully develop its business activities, namely the manufacture of irrigation pipes, artificial rain accessories, welded tubes, guard rails, metallic buildings, mounting structures for PV modules and a range of other metallic structures. Both apex of Exel Group's continuous development and strategic decision was the company's expansion into the field of Renewable Energy Sources, with the realization of a state-of-the-art production plant for photovoltaic modules.
